The 2nd workshop on Inelastic Neutron Spectrometers 2005 was held December 5-6, 2005, in Cairns, Australia, as a satellite meeting of ICNS2005. This workshop is hosted by Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO), and High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK). The first workshop WINS2004 was held in 2004 at JAEA in Tokai, Japan. Proceedings will be published in Journal of Neutron Research. The next workshop WINS2006 will be held on 29-30 Sep. 2006 at Hahn-Meitner-Institut in Berlin, Germany as a satellite meeting of PNCMI.

Scope...

WINS2005 has been programmed to provide a forum for the international neutron community to discuss recent developments of spectrometers, data analysis, and sample environment to be done on inelastic neutron scattering measurements at newly coming instruments in new sources, especially time of flight inelastic neutron instruments, for instance chopper and crystal analyzer instruments, as well as new instruments in reactor sources.
